Letter to customer

Mirabel, November 11th 2011

Dear customer,

In light of recent events involving the contract renewal for our unionized employees affiliated with the CSN, we wanted to assure you that we intend to maintain our usual pace of production and ensure the same high level of quality in our deliveries.

As we believe it is in everyone's best interests, we will continue to make all the necessary efforts to reach a negotiated agreement. lt is out of a genuine desire to reach a settlement that we are pursuing discussions with union representatives on a regular basis. The company is prepared to revisit the terms and conditions in the contract and examine possible arrangements that could be made in response to demands by unionized employees.

Sonaca Montréal has always striven to support its employees, to provide it with some ofthe best conditions in the subcontracting sector and to always adopt a cooperative approach in labour relations. And it hopes to continue to do so, while at the same time respecting its mission and its obligations.

We want to assure you that our company is fully committed to ensuring that the products we ship to our customers respect projected delivery dates and the high quality on which our reputation is built. ln this regard, we are informing our business partners, with the agreement of our head office, that we will take all the necessary measures to make sure these obligations are respected.

We will keep you informed in a timely manner of any major developments in this matter.

Best regards,

Philippe Hoste
Chief executive officer
